A Streetcar Named Desire (opening scenes)
I used this worksheet after working on an excerpt from one of Williams´s works. I wanted my students to get to watch a classic movie and to understand better Williams´s work. So we watched the opening scenes of A Streetcar Named Desire (the first fifteen minutes). Then we had a discussion about the setting, the characters, their behavior and their personality traits (characterization) and finally about the movie techniques and the atmosphere they convey.
This worksheet includes an anticipation activity (poster description, and a comprehension worksheet.
