The newsreel at the beginning of "Citizen Kane" is one of the most difficult parts of the movie to understand, mostly because of its bombastic style and inverted subjects and verbs. (I usually leave the English subtitles on for this part of the film for my students.) This worksheet is to help them get the main points from the newsreel, which show the "public" Charles Foster Kane.
