									Idioms of Comparison-2

									| | Idioms of Comparison-2
This multiple-choice vocabulary activity involves reading and speaking, since students compare their answers in pairs before getting feedback and corrections.
The teacher makes sure vocabulary and pronunciation doubts are sorted out and then encourages discussion about how these idioms are expressed in Spanish, and some other related issues, like describing personality and behaviour to practise this topic vocabulary ("Do you know anybody whos as hard as nails?... Have you ever been as drunk as a lord?").
This activity works quite well in my EOI lessons because students usually enjoy learning new idioms and comparing the English expressions to their own language in order to find the Spanish equivalents. I also find it interesting because it helps them to reflect on how the two languages work and itīs quite relevant too in the context of the topic of personal identity.
All comments and suggestions are welcome!!
