Grammer Questions For Auction
Split class into groups and give them $1500 each to use to bid on sentences. They should bid on sentences they think are correct again each other. The teacher should play the auctioneer and begin to sell each sentence once by one starting at a bid of $50.
Teams who bid on a correct sentence receive 5 points, incorrect sentences = -5 and any left over $$$ is 1 point per $100.
This is a good game to get students thinking about which sentences are grammatically correct and why. Remember they are only looking for grammar mistakes not factual.
