The Auction House
It is the well-known grammar auction game. Put the students into pairs or small groups and give each pair a sheet of sentences (some of them are wrong) and their money limit. Students must decided which sentences are correct. Ask the students to plan which sentences they are going to bid for. They must try to buy only correct sentences.The winners of the auction will be those with the most correct sentences and the most money left. When all the sentences have been sold, we check the mistakes. This game make correcting errors fun.
Other version my students love: they double the money they bid if they are right and loose that money if they are wrong.
