English worksheet: Egypt project web research food then and now Egypt project web research food then and now

I made this as a start to a series of lessons on food in Egypt. Dealt with this in English class (bilingual, year 1) but it was part of a project with other subjects: History, Geography and Art & Design. After my students had studied ancient Egyptian society during History, I let them find out more about food in Egypt in ancient times and now. Main goal this worksheet was to improve reading skills (read, find info on several websites, discuss it with partner in English, come up with the right answers). Afterwards each pair shared their info with the class and we came up with a short list of dishes. Just for your info: (not included in this worksheet) I then googled recipes of a few dishes still eaten in Egypt, used those to teach recipe vocab & imperative. Finally we prepared some dishes in class and served those to parents at the Egypt presentation evening. There, students presented the project (History/Geography/English/A&D)in English to their parents, using their own powerpoint slides. I hope you will find my worksheet useful, maybe you would like to do a similar project in your school.
