English worksheet: Creative Writing (through symbols) Creative Writing (through symbols)

Here´s an easy way to get students to write. Have students choose one item (symbol) which will be the source of their written production. This is a little bit non-traditional, but students find this much easier and much more personal. This is a fun way to get them to write and test their creativity, and their ability to create a topic from a very limited source. Have students do a clean copy as well. Good for beginners and elementary. But you can use the same idea for advanced with different pictures using site like flickr.com or google.ca
