Easter traditions dictation
This is designed to be a shouting dictation. Ss work in pairs and sit opposite each other at opposite ends of the classroom. There are 4 short texts about the traditions of Easter. Each student only has 2 texts and must dictate the other 2 texts to their partner by shouting across the room.Their partner writes what they hear on the lines. Once all 4 texts have been completed, ss check with their partner to see if they wrote it correctly.
This task uses all 4 skills and students soon lose their inhabitions when they have to shout! You could also play some loud music whilst they are working to increase the noise levels and make them shout louder!
