- Understand the function of prepositions of time and place and will get the meaning of their functions on a spoken context.
- Recognize cohesive devices in spoken discourse.
- Recognize the communicative functions of utterances according to situations, participants and goals.
- Infer situations, participants and goals using real-world knowledge.
- Deduce the main idea and supporting details from a given listening context.
- Develop and use listening strategies such as detecting key words.
