This is a project which can be stretched over several lessons (takes 2-3 hours). There are a number of stages involved in this project: 1) Brainstorming 2) Creating a miniature model 3) Research and background 4) Create the real model 5) Take photos and create poster 6) Write 100 word summary 7) Presentation (2 minute Pitch) 8) Winner of the competition (prize-giving) Both pages are to be given to students. Page 1 is the Project Criteria and Rules. Page 2 is examples of other inventions made from wire. Materials: - 1m of green garden wire - 1m of thicker, bendable wire (you can pick both up form any DIY store) - Poster paper I love this project and it produces some spectacular results. I´ve done it with almost all of my kids and also adults and they absolutely love it!
