REACTION IN CHINA TO KUNG FU PANDA 2
Use as a homework assignment. After you are confident students have read the texts [two short articles from the Chinese media and one from Wikipedia; I edited all three to make them shorter and have corrected the English] pair the students in class and give them the questions. There are more than 60 questions so, after ten minutes, ask students with even questions to stand on one side of the room and students with odd questions to stand on the other side of the room. Next, ask them to find new partners.
Another pairing can be done after another ten minutes.
Next, put the students in groups of three and ask them to give opinions about the text. Allow 5-10 minutes for this exercise.
Finally, ask students to sit in a circle and offer their opinions to the entire class.
I found that students had the most to stay about the idea of īcultural invasionī, which produced a great deal of spirited discussion.
