Play the video (you can easily find it on youtube) and ask the students the following questions: - What’s going on? - When/Where does it happen? - Do those people like Oliver? Why/why not? - What kind of movie is it? (a musical) - What do you think the movie is about? Hand out the worksheets, and have the students read about the movie, to check their answers. Gap filling activity (there’s a version of the song part with subtitles). Have an open group discussion about the last question.
