English worksheet: Verb to be (dilling) Verb to be (dilling)

To practice speaking through drilling, you could have students complete the sentences with am, is, or are. Then to practice Negative questions you have to have the students change the affirmative sentences into negative ones, and for questions the same. You can model the exercise first and then have them complete the rest orally with his/her friend. I personally do this in groups since they correct each other. Don’t let them write since they have to get used to the structure. They have to sit down in groups; then, each member of the group has to answer one exercise at a time. Better if they use a ball and pass the ball each time they answer correctly the sentence. You can give them 3 min then the last person who catches the ball can have a penalty. The sentences are easy and for sure it is going to be fun for your students.
