This is a communicative activity which you can use after teaching shopping phrases and vocabulary. The exercise consists of 2 role plays: 1st for a pair where a boy should play the role of a customer and 2nd for a pair where a girl should play the role of a customer. At first ask Ss to pracitse their roles in pairs later aks them to present their conversation to the whole class. Together you can make a copetition and choose the most polite shop assistant and the most annoying and picky customer.
