My First Teaching Session on JOBS & PROFESSIONS
As a teacher trainee, I had to design a workshop for 14 year old Austrian pupils on Jobs and Professions. This is the handout for my first session. It contains
- a detailed lesson plan describing the guidelines for each task
- a transcription of a Mrs. Doubtfire video extract with bold printed topic related words and expressions (awareness raising task)
- a stereotype section on Jobs as a communicative springboard for classroom discussions
- a vocab grid in which to gather topic related words emerging
from the mutual discussions
- a Listening Comprehension Task taken from the Cambridge Book "Objective", yet with my own designed LC tasks (cf. specified task section)
- a homework task for the following session
- announcement instructions for a vocabulary revision
