Present tense continuous song
This is a song for teaching students the affirmative form of present tense continuous. It´s easy to learn and your students will definitely love it.
It was a rainy day and I was looking material for teaching present tense continuous to my students. I didn’t find any song or poem appropriate to used it (the well known song “Are you sleeping” only offered me an interrogative form and I wanted the affirmative one), so I wrote a song to help my students better learn and understand it. It helped me a lot, because the rhythm of the song was known by students so they learned it by heart very quickly. After reading the text, singing the song, they were asked to identify the verbal forms in the text and so the grammar issue was piece of cake.
