Listening and reading homework excuses poem worksheet

Link to the audio and answer key included A worksheet to work on funny homework excuses. Pupils listen to the beginning of the poem -->listening activity. For the second part which I find a little more difficult, I chose to have them read it --> reading activity. Then they have to explain which is their favourite excuse in the poem --> speaking actiivty. finally, I ask them to write their own excuse --> writing activity. You can also use this poem to study past simple and even past continuous.
