Stuck in an airport, a roleplay
This is one of the most sucessful lessons I´ve done. Like all my lessons it´s for Burmese refugees so some of the content is slightly specific, but easily changed. The format is there, so you can do what you like with the content.
Roleplay
The students are all stuck in an airport because of a terrorist bomb threat, they are bored so they have to chat to each other and find out about each other:
o who they are,
o where they are from,
o where they are going
o what they are doing there
o what they do (job)
o if they are going on holiday next year
o where they are going on holiday (or might be going)
o what they think of this situation (in the airport)
o how they will spend the next 24 hours
My characters are all silly, so are some of their responses, and some of the words the students may not understand. Again, the content can easily be adapted to your target group. also, my classes are 20+ so this is ideal for a big group, as each student gets their own sheet. Enjoy.
