Reading Frankenstein PART 4 (class conversation)
The doc includes PART III of the simplified version of the story + an extract from the novel by Shelley.
In this activity, the class was divided into 2: one part read Part I of the story while the other part of the class read Part II and then they asked questions to each other to have information about the whole story. Then, I gave them the third part and they had to write a plot summary of the story (model of plot summary writing with Dracula in "Reading Frankenstein Part I).
The last writing activity leads them to reflect on the main themes of the novel: revenge, appearances, father and son relationship, scientific progress... There was a lot of debate in class which shows that Shelley´s novel is not outdated!! Enjoy!
