Introducing Others
This fun worksheet will enable students to practice introducing other people. Exercise 1 introduces the important expressions. Exercise 2 is a matching activity, whereby students become familiar with characters in the role-play that follows. The next exercise requires students to complete the role-play by filling in the blanks using information from the matching activity in exercise 2. The teacher then organises the students into groups of 4-5, after which students allocate characters to themselves. If there are 4 students in a group, then they would act out part 1 of the role play. If there are 5 students in a group, then they would perform parts 1 and 2. Students are then told that they will prepare for a role-play, and that they should memorise their lines. Remind students to use gestures such as shaking hands when being introduced, etc. ***See my list of contributions for the accompanying PowerPoint presentation.***
