I have reformatted this 2006 story to make a suitable for a mini book. This story uses only single letter sounds and the word the, so early readers and dyslexics should have little difficulty in reading it. I usually have the children sit in a circle and read a page at a time, including the front and the back, then I read it to them. Before doing reading comprehension the children ask me questions about the text. David. What is Hull? It is a city in the north east of England. David. What is huffs and puffs? Well, after running around the classroom a couple of times there is no need of further explanation. More suggestions and information inside.
