Details: For this project, students will work in groups to select a “scene” from Pride and Prejudice and translate it into contemporary English. The length of the scene to be preformed is 5 minutes. Each group will need to be prepared to explain the content and message of their act (classicism, chauvinism, ect). Aside from the language itself, students will be expected to “modernize” other aspects of the text such as scenery, clothing, etc. The work done by each group will be presented to the class on ________________________ and students will have 2 options for how they want to present that work.
