Canada´s Geography & Landmarks
This is a project I did with my students over a 4 week period. Since I am teaching them North American countries, I chose to start with Canada. In the first worksheet students guess which word goes with which picture. After, we review the answers. Then I have each group come up with a list of things that can be done in the great outdoors. Afterwards 1 person from each team comes to the board and writes their teams answers. Based on my explanation of what the great outdoors is the class judges each groups answers. Then I give students the "What is Canada known for?" worksheet. I show them a powerpoint that accompanies the explanation. Finally after seeing the ppt students have to make an interpretive map based on what they learned of canada. Therefore students label and draw on the empty map. Enjoy!!!
