Fasty’s really really fast food (Demi Lovato comedy sketch / So Random / Sonny with a Chance)
LISTENING comprehension activities and SCRIPT of this comedy sketch (with stressed syllables), so that the students can then practice and act out the scene.
This is a very silly (and fun) comedy sketch (starring pop star Demi Lovato) where the term "fast food restaurant" means that the food literally flies from the kichen and is thrown AT the customers... Add to that a cashier who misinterprets every order.
In the script, the scene is divided into 3 parts (each part with 2-3 actors), so that students can work in groups of 2 students if necessary, and have less text to pronounce and/or memorize.
In addition to the worksheet, it would be possible to imagine roleplay or creative writing activities where the student reuse some of the typical fast food restaurant staff/customer interaction sentences from the third activity.
NB : this activity was designed for a group of B1 students (both high school and university level). It would probably be best with teenagers (middle school or high school), but it is so silly it can work with adults as well.
I believe this could be adapted for A2 students as well, as it is a very visual comedy sketch (easy to understand even if you don’t get all the details) and it uses a lot of easy vocabulary.
