This is a fun activity I did with my students after we had seen some action verbs vocabulary. First, I introduced the animals of the story ( IŽll be posting my worksheet later) and then I read this story. The children must stand up and when they hear an action word that we studied, they must mime the action (you choose how many times at one time). For example, if you say "then he jumped" then the children have to jump 5 times.)Depending on your group, you can repeat the verbs so they get to move even more (and spend energy before settling down for a calm activity)
