Christmas handout
A handout I designed for my class for their Christmas lesson!
It contains two sections, a ´true or false´ exercise and a gap-fill listening exercise.
I gave the students five minutes to read the ´true or false´ section (statements of traditional British (and American) Christmas traditions, deciding whether each statement was true or false. Each student then read out a statement, which I repeated, and the class voted for whether it was true or false. They seemed to really enjoy this, especially when comparing it with their own Christmas.
I then played them Mariah Carey´s ´All I want for Christmas is you´, then played it again with them filling in the missing words on the worksheet. For some lower level classes I played it a third time, stopping after each verse. We then went through as a class, with each student reading out a line and the class discussing the missing words. They really enjoyed this! A good light hearted lesson to end the term before Christmas
