Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa!
In 1897, eight-year-old Virginia O´Hanlon wrote a letter to the editor of New York´s Sun. The editor´s response was printed as an unsigned editorial and has since become history´s most reprinted newspaper editorial.
In the last lessons before Christmas I always discuss the question, if there is a Santa Claus and read this editorial to my students. Meanwhile you can also find videos/listenings of the article on YouTube.
