I used this worksheet with advanced students after studying part of the oral speech ( see my other printable on that topic). It enables the students to see what devices can be used in a speech. I then ask them to write their own speech, using the devices studied and read it to the class. I have done that type of exercise before, with Martin Luther King´s "I Have a Dream" Speech and they really manage to write excellent speeches !
