Sports
I usually teach the sports first and when I put the flashcards on the board, I put them into three groups. After we have practiced the pronunciation of all of the sports, I ask the students why they think Iīve put them into three groups. They usually give some interesting answers. Then I explain to them about the differences between do, go and play and then play a team battle where the students are shown the flashcard and they have to make a sentence. Today, because we had practiced giving opinions in the previous class, I got the students to use the language from the previous class for review (i.e. I love playing baseball.). Then I gave this print out to them and they completed it fairly quickly. I hope itīs useful!
