| | Describe the rooms in a house
Write definitions of the rooms on white board and go over as a class. Once students understand, they need to match descriptions from the whiteboard with the correct room on their worksheet. Good to check understanding of their ability to recognize room names, especially if you write definitions on the whiteboard in a different order to what is on the worksheets.
The definitions I used were:
Bathroom- A room containing a bathtub or shower, and usually a toilet and sink
Bedroom- A room where people sleep.
Living room- A room for relaxing and socializing.
Dining room-A room where meals are eaten.
Kitchen- A room where food is prepared and cooked.
Hall- A corridor where rooms open.
Study- A room used for paperwork, computer work, or reading.
Garden- Outdoor space which is part of your home.
