My Time Capsule My Time Capsule

Students fill in a time capsule paper, telling their future self about themselves in the current year and writing in their goals for the future (conditional and future tenses). Students will talk about the future by making predictions for a future year, as decided by the teacher (future tense). This is a good way to review the use of present, conditional and future tenses in one lesson. Supplementary: Students can create a time capsule by bringing in 1 item each that they will put into a box or container to have a "class time capsule". Students can take turns describing their object and why they chose it. They can also make predictions for the future for the world as well as on a personal level (what they will be doing in the future).
