Emotions poetry
Ss read a poem that uses emotions vocab (adjectives). Ss choose whether the words are positive or negative.
Ss then use more adjectives to complete another half finished verse, and finally create a verse of their own. Ss read the finished poem aloud in class (or just their final two verses).

Internet Fact Files
Students must use internet websites to search for biographical information for various famous people. They also include 2 more famous people from their home country.
Follow up: Students write three or four short biographies using the information (if there is time they can find additional informaiton online and write a longer version).
