HERCULE POIROT- detective magnifique
My kids loved Poirot - he was funny, yet clever and worth admiration. They wanted more, so we combined TV-series(this is The Veiled lady) and reading Agatha Christie. The great thing about it is that Poirot speaks the French(i. e. Belgian) English, so they love correcting his word order and pronunciation. This is a classical ws to check understandi...

toys - matching ws for kids
This is a very simple ws for smaller kids to match toys and their words. The words are all caps, because preschoolers and 1st graders are more comfortable with these. I use it as a ws, but also as a class poster. I sometimes give them colourful wss as a special reward, but it´s editable so you can print it in b&w if you want to.

funny things from court
This is a text I got from a friend by e-mail. It´s all kinds of funny things people said at the witness stand. It´s hillarious, but sts lower than advanced maybe won´t get all the jokes, so read through carefully before you use it in class. It´s a great twist on crime/court/law vocabulary, and the last page expands it into a worksheet which is not ...
