Oral Presentation Scoring Guide
What do you look for when students give oral reports? This rubric helps isolate particular aspects of making an oral presentation. I tell my students that this form makes the presentation evaluation 70 percent objective and 30 percent subjective. For example, we can count how many times a student repeats a word. I either make a tic or actually writ...

Three Sheep Songs
Easter season is a good time to teach these three nursery rhymes: Baa Baa Black Sheep, Little Bo Peep, and Mary Had a Little Lamb. There are lots of videos of these songs on Youtube or Youkou (China) and the kids love to sing them. I used this worksheet as a summary review close activity. Good vocabulary building and verb tense practice.

Pair Activity for Teaching Expressions
I cut the expression into two parts and randomly distribute the parts to my class and send them to the hall to find their partner. When they think they found their partner, they come back and I check to make sure. Once partnered, students figure out what the expression means and then prepare a dialogue using the expression. This activity is great f...
