A story about a lady detective working in Gabarone, Botswana, and a good study of life in Africa. My students have really enjoyed this book. The No.1 Ladies� Detective Agency was the first book in the series and this is the third (i.e. same characters). It is very well-written and can be highly recommended.

This device is a British peculiarity! An alarm wakes you up to an "already made" cuppa! (Hence the name.) Who else could have felt the need to invent a machine to do such a thing?
