This is a graphic organizer for writing an essay but, you will have to modify it to use it with your students by changing the sentence starters. I gave them an essay where they had to compare and contrast hanging out to studying.

Reading from a Hispanic Heritage Month unit. During this reading I had my students recognize the fact that Pablo Picasso was somewhat privileged and lucky to have such supportive parents and that he was extremely sensitive to the world around him.
