I use this unit plan to teach a science honors class. These students were gifted in science, but not English. So I used text about science (leaning tower of pisa, thomas edison, engineering, etc) to enhance and motivate their English language learning.

Flip it down
This is completely editable, you just change the six words. Then the students roll the dice and say the word. If they say it correctly they get to cover the word. First student to have all the words covered wins the game. This is played in small groups and all you need is a worksheet and die.
