I remember once I taught at a private school and the payment was really good (2500-3000 dollars), but, you know, even though it �s a lot of money here in Brazil (and I mean it!), it was not worth it. I remember I used to go to the school crying (yeah, literally) because I didn �t want to go there (I was just substituting another teacher for a month), most of the students were terrible and not interested and I "survived" only because I really needed the money (it helped me pay a course I took after university). "No pain, no gain" really made sense at that time.
