which is the correct and why ?please
 
You can see a man, a woman, a boy ................. etc.
          
                                       OR
 
You can see a man, a woman, and  a boy ................. etc.

I can see a man, a woman, a bird, a bear and a bus.
 
as long as u r listing use comma until u reach the last item use and without a comma as shown in the e.g.

Ahlam gives a gramatically correct example of this rule.

brown, red, green, blue and gold.
brown, red, green and blue
brown, red and green
brown and red
brown.

etc is implying that there are more colours to come so as of yet the and is not called upon
