Hi Floona
I live and work in the UAE also
I teach grade 9 and happy to answer your question
We all work for a five day week  is correct
We describe the week that it has five days
so "five day" here is an adjective   we are not counting the days
I hope it is clear now
Wish you the best of luck

Hi

In my opinion, we all work a five day week would be correct, you do not need the for in the sentence.
I hope this helps.

Refis24 is right. Any of the sentences with for is wrong. "work for" shows what you gain from work, eg "I work for food/money/$$ an hour" etc..

Correct: "work a five day week" or "work five days a/per week".

Hi, it is     "    Five days a week  " my friend   Don t say  a five day a week ,we should count days after five ,so we can t say five day instead both are in one week.  That is why we say five days or six days a week .Thanks . Tarek
