Hi everybody,
I m marking tests, and I was wondering:
1. "When I ve got a problem I go to her, she s a great listener."
(It sounds so Italian, can you suggest me sthg better, apart from "I talk to her"?)
2. When a verb is used as the subject of a sentence, when do I use the infinitive and when the gerund form? Does it make any difference?
Thanks for your time,
greetings from Italy, on Easter Monday!

I turn to her?????
The gerund replaces a noun:
swimming is my favourite sport.
To make a nice chocolate egg for Easter, you need.... = In order to make, If you want to make 2nd case is an infinitive of purpose
Hope it helps! Have a nice day!

Thanks a lot,
I think "turn to" is a good choice!
Have a nice day too,
Chiara
(btw, I love your avatar, it speaks of "happiness", or something similar...!) |
