Hello Dear Collegues: Im teaching my sixth grade class about Ancient Civilizations ( the aztecs, ancient china, the royal kingdom of Ghana, ancient Rome, Greece, and Egypt) I would like my students to watch a movie, as our closing activity of this unit...do u have any suggestions about films related to this topic??? Students may even prepare a presentation about the ancient wonders.

If you would like to watch a full movie about ancient Rome you could watch Gladiator. There are a couple of other good movies about ancient civilization, the only problem there is no speech they would be, Apocalypto about the Mayan civilization and Quest for Fire which is about early man. There is also a movie about ancient China called Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Like the others mentioned there are a lot options with You Tube. There are a lot of documentaries on ancient civilizations there. |

I personally don �t like movies about ancient cultures there is usually too much fiction in them.
In addition they are too long for one class. I prefer documentaries due to their more educational content.
