possible answers to conditional exercise

Hi everybody!
I need your valuable help once more! The exercise says: Fill in with the correct tense: "If the Internet (not exist) ... our world (may be) ... completely different".
According to you is "If the Internet didn t exist, our world might be completely different" the only right answer? If a stutent uses could instead of might, would you consider it right even though the option between bracketes  is "may be" and not "can be".
Thanks in advance for your always helpful advice.

I wouldn t consider it right because they are different modal verbs and the meaning changes although very slightly.
