SONG WITH ACTIONS about DAILY ROUTINE - Hokey Cokey (Hokey Pokey)

 ï¿½The Hokey Cokey (UK), "The Hokey Pokey", (USA)

Dear Aline 73,

You will find a video of the Hokey Cokey dance here , sung by a group of German children, (singing it in English).  I am sure many Classes sing and dance  to similar videos of this song, such as this one.  In the UK, adults sing and dance the Hokey Cokey at parties.

You will find the Hokey Cokey words at this link, now , but I imagine that Teachers in Class change the words, to suit the vocabulary being taught to the children, and sing the new words and dance the new actions in Class, without musical accompaniment.

Sadly, I dont teach children in College, but I was just musing about DAILY ROUTINES, when the following words for a similar Song, with Dance Actions, came into my head.

I lie in bed; Im fast asleep;

I poke my nose out; and I take a peep;

I Do the Hokey Cokey and I Turn Around;

That s what it s all about:

Oh, Hokey Cokey Cokey,

Oh, Hokey Cokey Cokey,

Oh, Hokey Cokey Cokey,

Knees Bend, Arms Stretch,

Rah! Rah! Rah!

The clock strikes eight; I get a fright;

I sit up straight; and I switch on the light;

I Do the Hokey Cokey and etc.

Im out of bed; my undies on;

I stretch my arms; and then I have a yawn;

I Do the Hokey Cokey and etc.

"I brush my teeth; I wash my face;

I put my clothes on; and I pack my case;

I Do the Hokey Cokey and etc.

I leave my room; go down the stair;

I go to breakfast; I sit on a chair;

I Do the Hokey Cokey and etc.

I drink my milk; I eat my food;

I lick the plate because it tastes so good;

I Do the Hokey Cokey and etc.

I leave my home; I heave a sigh;

I kiss my loved ones and I wave Bye Bye;

I Do the Hokey Cokey and etc.

I go to school; push wide the gate;

Im not a fool so I am never late;

I Do the Hokey Cokey and etc.

I enter class; a lovely day;

I think what splendid things Ill learn today:

I Do the Hokey Cokey and etc.

So dont go East; and dont go West;

And dont  go North or South cause our Schools BEST.

Our teacher makes our Learning Fun; so we all shout;

Thats what its all about!

 Oh, Hokey Cokey Cokey,

Oh, Hokey Cokey Cokey,

Oh, Hokey Cokey Cokey,

Knees Bend, Arms Stretch,

Rah! Rah! Rah!

As I say, these words were written purely for my own amusement!

I used this video (The Hokey Pokey) to practice prepositions with my elementary ss last year. They loved and besides singing they also danced it.

I can t find the video with the lyrics ldthemagicman says. I find many videos about the Hokey Cokey, but with other lyrics. Where can I find the video with the lyrics about daily routines?

Thank you.

I am afraid the video has not been made yet! It s Les s creative mind again! He made up the lyrics which, of course you can adapt on the traditional hokey pokey s music!
By the way Les Clap . I am always stunned and amazed by your incredible creativity! It is a shame you don t teach young children! Mind you,some older ones , I am sure would not mind doing your honky cokey! LOL
