I found it by chance and if you haven �t heard about it, it �s really useful. Have a look and tell me. This is the British corpora but there is also the American one.

You �re right, Yolanda, http://corpus.byu.edu/bnc/ is an excellent resource. As are http://corpus.byu.edu/coca/ and http://corpus.byu.edu/coha/ (the American sites).

I �d advise all of our language mavens to at least glance at these sites before they start pontificating on what is or isn �t common, recent or �correct � usage.
