Hi ueslteacher, Happy Victory Day  Hope you have a wonderful day.Israel �s Independence Day in 2011 is on Tuesday, the 10th of May. In the Jewish calander, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Jews will celebrate Israel �s Independence Day on the sunset of Monday, the 9th of May. For example: Israel �s Independence Day in 2012 is on Thursday, the 26th of April. Barbara

I read about it on the newspaper this morning and remembered that, when I was a kid, we had a party at school to celebrate Israel �s 10th Independence Day. Time flies!
Today I �ll celebrate the 63rd anniversary with my students.
