I still don�t understand how the EsL forum works . I thought the message board was used to post general messages (and only these would appear here); I posted a first message with my doubt (present perfect/past simple) and waited for replies. Then, I used the grammar forum and posted another message there; seeing it again in the (what I thought was) the general message board came as a surprise. I didn�t mean it. �Sorry

No matter where you write it, it ends up here.
But where it gets archived is another matter.
If it�s a grammar question - just click on Grammar and linguistics at the bottom of this page-
then click on start a new topic and it will end here - but you can always go back
and find it under that category.
