One sentence, two perspectives

Hi guys!
I need to find some words/expressions that can be used in different situations/two perspectives... For example "glass half full/empty", "every cloud has a silver lining". Those are examples from the TG...
I tried to find similar expressions, but I didn t find any... Do you know some of them?

Thanks a lot.
