Hi, everyone!

It is sooo hot in Moscow!
What phrases do you use in your languages to say that it is too hot.
In Russia we say Жарко как в аду! (as hot as in hell)

There was once a thread here on this topic.
See the posts here ;)
"Жахливо спекотньо!" (transliteration: zhahlyvo spekotnio) - which in Ukrainian means its terribly hot.

Wow, it is hard to find some popular fixed phrases in Polish. You can certainly say the same simile (as hot as in hell) in Polish => "Goraco jak w piekle", but it is not commonly used. I d rather say "Upał jak diabli" :) Sorry won t translate it. such phrases often can t be translated literally.

BTW. what temp  do you feel it is extremely hot there, in Russia?
Just out of curiosity, as I have always imagined temps are lower there than here, in Argentina

The temperature in Athens is something like 35-37 C these days, so we say "βράζει ο τόπος", meaning that the soil is boiling, or "σκάει ο τζίτζικας" which suggests that even the cicada, a type of cricket that enjoys high temperatures, cannot stand the heat.

Don t take me wrong, I like the summer, but sometimes it s unbearable...Angry
