Hi friends, could you give me advice? If I say hotel, the pronunciation is on the second syllable. What if I say a hotel room? Is the pron. of the hotel at the first syllable? Thnx.

Hi ivush,

In Br Eng, the pronunciation is the same, with the stress on the second syllable, whether you use hotel as a noun or an adjective.

Hello Ivush,

Being from England, I put more stress on the second syllable. I ve had a quick practice and found that if I add room , then the stress is still on the second syllable, hehe.

Cheers,

Stuart Smile
